Wendy's introduced their Chicken Teriyaki Bowl in 1992. The bowl came in two sizes, Junior (which was on the Super Value Menu) and large. The bowl had grilled chicken in a teriyaki sauce, rice, carrots, broccoli, and onions. There was an optional pack of soy sauce or chopstick available when Wendy's offered this item. In 1996 after rather disappointing sales, Wendy's discontinued the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl.

The bowls were not made in the stores due to limited space, instead the bowls were assembled in a factory and shipped frozen to Wendy's stores where the worker had to just microwave the bowls and serve to guests. The bowls had lids for take out orders.
